BAPTISM

Baptism is a symbol and a statement. After you have accepted Christ as your Savior, baptism is a way to publicly identify with His death, burial and resurrection. It is stating you are not ashamed of Him or His Gospel and that you are making a commitment to live for him. Baptism doesn’t make you a believer but it is an outward sign of what has already happened in your heart.

What About Children?

At CTR, children may be baptized when they are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism. We leave it to the parents’ discretion as to when they believe that the time is right for their child, or until the child chooses to be baptized.

We believe that children are received by God. We do not believe that baptizing them takes away original sin nor does it grant salvation.

For information on infants, please read the Child Dedication page for information on this ceremony.
