SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
For
you were called to freedom, brothers; only don't turn your freedoms
into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one
another." Galatians 5:13 Living in a Christ
centered community means we are going to serve Him and serve others.
We encourage you to take a Spiritual Gifts Assessment (download it here)
and begin exploring ways you can serve in this local body of
believers. If you see something that you'd like to help with, please
contact us for follow up.
GET INVOLVED...
Within Crossing
We
have some area's you can serve within Crossing, like becoming a college
campus rep, a small group leader, take a short term trip to local disaster relief, and much more. Please
contact us for more info or idea's on how to plug in.
Emergency Shelter Breakfast
The
first Saturday of every month we prepare and serve breakfast at the
Appleton homeless shelter. Meet at the shelter at 7:00 AM. It is
located at 400 Division Street in Appleton- across from the
Post-Office. We’ll be
making and serving breakfast to whomever is staying in the shelter on
Saturday mornings. Our goal is to love and serve people staying in the
shelter that might be going through a rough time in life. Stay and eat
with the folks at the shelter, there is no better way to connect and
love others than just sitting and sharing a meal. Interested in
helping? Just show up, or contact Bradd Yenor. Directions to Shelter
Soup Kitchen meals (for Double Portion)
We are partnering with Double Portion, a Soup Kitchen held at St. Thomas Church in Menasha, WI. We see the need of such a great service Double Portion provides, and want to do our part in this local cause. We will do a few meals throughout the year as a group, but they have many opportunities for you to get involved more consistantly. For more info on DP, go here.
