Equipping Groups are specialized Connect Groups that prepare you either for a volunteer leadership roles in another connect group or in the church, or to be a better partner in marriage.

Basic Training
If you are interested in going on a Discovery Trip and have never participated in one through Christ The Rock, this training is required.

If you are interested in going on a Discovery Trip, CTR's Basic Training will help prepare you for your cross-cultural experience. Over the course of two consecutive Sunday afternoons, you'll receive training on how to share the love of Christ across cultural boundaries. If you've already gone on a Discovery Trip or have taken Basic Training previously, you're welcome to join us for a refresher.

Character Development
This in-depth program will challenge you to examine your life and develop a deeper, more mature relationship with Christ and others.

The stated purpose for this course is to "present every person mature in Christ" (Colossians 1:28). This in-depth course will challenge you to examine your life from a biblical perspective and develop a deeper, more mature understanding of how God designed you, and how sin impacts your style of relating. This class is for you if:
- You have a deeper desire to grow in becoming more like Christ.
- You can commit to a nine month course (see dates at right)
- You are a growing follower of Christ with a strong foundation in discipleship basics and have the ability to apply what you learn to your own life and sin issues.
- You are willing to go in-depth with your heart issues in a small group format.
- You are open to receiving feedback and challenge from others.
Please note: Successful completion of Character Development is required prior to enrolling in the Lay Counsleing Program or Leadership Development Program.

Pre-Marital
For couples exploring the possibility of marriage. Learn from mentors who know the joys and challenges of spending a lifetime together with the one you love.

Pre-marital mentoring is a great way for a couple to explore the possibility of a lifetime together. We recommend that couples take the pre-marital class before engagement and at least nine months before their wedding date. Successful completion of the pre-marital class and counseling is a requirement before a Christ The Rock pastor can perform a marriage ceremony.
* One additional class time is required for those couples starting a blended family.
** $50 is due the last class period to cover the cost of the Prepare Survey. Prepare is a program based on a set of five inventories that examine major relationship issues a couple may experience.
