Mentoring
The mentor program is not quite up and running, but we expect that very shortly it will be more organized. Impact of Mentoring – includes all mentoring, not just faith mentoring 
         
       The involvement of a mentor in a young person’s life for ONE year reduced:  
        -First-time drug use by 46% 
        -School absenteeism by 52% 
        -Violent behavior by 33% 
       Young people with mentors were:  
        -More likely to perform well in school 
        -Relate better to family and friends 
        -Less likely to start using alcohol 

Statistics (Josh McDowell research) 
       25% of all children in America are growing up in homes without their fathers – that’s 25 million children.  
       72% of all adolescent murders are committed by children who have grown up in fatherless homes.  
       Over 70% of all prison inmates in America today grew up without their fathers.
