Global Programs

All across the world, you can impact people who are in great need. The CTR Global Team is about bringing the hope of Christ to a world that does not know Him. You'll find our Global team building bridges and nourishing our relationships in places like:

  • Destination Unknown - A week long stateside mission trip to an unknown destination for Youth (6th - 8th grade). August 3 - 10. If interested fill out a Discover Trip Interest Form.

  • Haiti - Even before the catastrophic earthquake, Haiti was known as the least developed country in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest nations in the world. About 80% of the population lives in abject poverty, ranking the country second-last in the world. Nearly 70.5% of all Haitians depend on the agriculture sector, which consists mainly of small scale subsistence farming. The country has experienced little formal job creation over the past decade and has consistently ranked among the most corrupt countries in the world.

  • Mexico - Muzquiz is a community located approximately 90 miles southwest of Eagle Pass, Texas. Our involvement began with Dave Innerebner who took his Disciple Training Class made up of Ojibwa Indians from the U.S. and Canada on an outreach to Mexico. Their original plans did not materialize, so they began to pray and ask God where they should go. As they looked over a map they discovered El Nacimiento, the place where Black Seminoles live near a Kickapoo Tribe, just outside of Musquiz. A few years later we joined Dave and Pam with our first family / high school trip which consisted of 35 people. We were unable to meet with the Kickapoo but did build some great bridges with the Black Seminole Indians and the people of Morelos. Through those relationships we met Pastor Juan Antonio who had a small church in Muzquiz reaching out to a poor community called District 28, where we have been serving ever since. Over the past 10 years, we have sent over 800 people on short term mission trips. We were able to put up soccer goals, basketball hoops, swing sets, perform skits/dramas, offer children's programs, support Pastor Juan, and mostly bring hope to the community.

  • Lac Courte Oreilles (Northern Wisconsin Tribe) - Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) current population is between 3,500 - 4,000 people. The number of people who attend an Evangelical/Pentecostal church is between 1% and 2 %. Christianity (or the "church") has been and is seen by many as an enemy to the culture, language, community, and heritage of the people. So the battle is uphill. That is as a result of an over arching attempt to Christianize or advance Christendom among Native people versus introducing Christ through relationship and as the means to a fulfilled relationship to the Creator of all things. Christianizing led to all kinds of tragedy, atrocity and even oppression. It stems from an old European world view that divided the world into three sectors: the civilized, the barbarian (agrarian), and the savage. Of course the view was that Native people were savage and had to at least be taught how to farm if not become totally civilized by assimilation. This attitude led to an almost complete ignorance of the culture or of any kind of bridge or "key" that already existed as a framework for sharing the Gospel of Jesus. Currently there are five churches meeting: a Church of God, a Catholic Church and school, a house church that was born out of the YWAM ministry, and the Church of Love and Compassion (Foursquare) which Dave now pastors.
