Die to Live

In Philippians 1:21, Paul writes: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." The phrase is a paradox in more ways than one. Transformed by the power of the Gospel, we long for Jesus to return or call us home — because for followers of Jesus, dying in this world means eternal life with Him. Allowing the Gospel to transform our hearts, it also means that we die to self so that we can live in the power of the Spirit.
