Women Of Strength

In this second message in our [Apart] of HIStory series we take a look at God's original design in creation. He created men and women in His own image and likeness and equal in value, worth and intrinsic dignity. Yet throughout time, women have be subjugated, oppressed, dominated, marginalized, exploited and silenced. We see throughout Scripture an affirmation of a woman's worth, especially in how Jesus treated them. When we look at the story of Esther, we initially see KIng Xerxes using and exploiting women for his own benefit and pleasure. In this message we also give more background to who Esther is and what her life had been like, prior to being selected to be the new Queen. Join us in the unfolding of this incredibly fascinating story.

From Series: "[A]Part of HIStory"

The book of Esther recounts the story of the Jewish people near the end of their exile, while facing the threat of extermination. Esther is the Persian name for the Jewish woman Hadassah. Esther is one of only two books in the Bible where the Name of God is not mentioned, yet God’s sovereignty and providence are incredibly woven through it.
