Palm Sunday

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, He was doing much more than meets the eye. In this week of our Empty and Filled series, we look at the problem of expectations, and how Jesus came to blow our expectations out of the water.

Our next series will look at the symbol and practices of the season of Lent. Lent is a fixed amount of time set aside to focus on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It's an invitation to interrupt our daily rhythms to symbolically follow Jesus into the wilderness. Lent is a call to fasting and self-denial, though not for the sake of denial itself. It is a period to empty ourselves of lesser things so that we might be filled with the greater things of the gospel.
