Hebrews 5:11 - 6:20

Have you ever been scolded in a way that instilled a heathy fear in you that led to a change in behavior? Maybe a doctor confronted you about a bad habit that if left unaddressed will lead to a serious health issue – and you changed? That’s what the author is attempting to do in this section of Hebrews. The author is calling out the church for being stagnant and immature in their faith and challenging them to grow up. The warning for not taking their faith seriously is the possibility of falling away from Jesus. The warning of the author is something every Christian needs to hear and consider. It’s a sobering message that’s intended to cause every follower of Jesus to examine their current spiritual condition.
