The Dangers of Discrimination
More From "James: A Faith That Works"
We sin when we show favoritism to some people over others, whether they are rich or poor, or different in any way. James calls this behavior discrimination. It’s an ugly form of judgement, and the opposite of the grace we’ve been shown in Christ. James teaches us that genuine faith in Christ extends mercy rather than harsh judgment to others.
James gives followers of Christ clear, practical and straightforward wisdom on what it means to live out our faith. He shows us that the Christian life is actually possible- that ours is a faith that works.
