Overcoming Apathy, Fear and Prejudice

Fear, apathy and prejudice are three things that hinder us from loving our neighbor well. In this message we will dig into God’s Word and discover how Jesus calls us to live with compassion, courageous love, and justice toward others – and how living this out will not only change our lives, but the world in which we live.

In Matthew 22:35-40, Jesus tells us that loving our neighbors is the second greatest commandment -- second only to loving God with our whole heart, soul and mind. But what does it mean to really love our neighbors? What would our workplaces, neighborhoods and families look like if we truly loved everyone -- including those from different backgrounds, cultures, races or belief systems? Can love overcome fear, apathy and prejudice?
