Have you ever said, “This isn’t the way it’s supposed to be?” From the very beginning of Genesis, we see God’s goodness. Everything He created was good. But something happened that distorted God’s perfect design. A choice. And that choice caused a chain reaction. It’s as if the movie of Genesis 2 is being played backward. Tjis message looks at the effects of Adam and Eve’s decision in the Garden and how we still feel the impact today on our relationship with God, each other, and the earth. We’ll see how even in the moment of that terrible decision, God had a plan to make things good again.
In a world filled with conflicting opinions, how can we know which ones to trust? In the Age of Exploration, sailors had only one trustworthy guide: the North Star. It’s the only star in the visible cosmos that never moves. What if there are certain truths that act the same way in our lives? What if there are truths in God’s design that never change, across time and history? We will study the Bible to understand a Christian worldview, how it answers life's big questions more completely than any other worldview, and how we can live in light of these truths.
