Have you ever wondered if it really matters that you attend church, or read your Bible? For about 40 million adults in America (16% of the population) who used to go to church but no longer do, the answer is obvious. These are what we now call the “dechurched”. For the first time in the eight decades that Gallup has tracked American religious membership, more adults in the United States don’t attend church than attend church.
