Who Does God Call Us To Love

The second greatest commandment of Jesus is to love our neighbor as ourselves. The commandment is really an invitation to put the glory of God and the needs of others before our own desires. When our worship is rightly ordered God makes some incredible promises to his people. This message focuses on Isaiah 58 where God calls the Israelites to care for the needs of the oppressed and vulnerable and then declares the promises that come with rightly ordered worship.

From Series: "Won't You Be My Neighbor"

In Matthew 22:35-40, Jesus tells us that loving our neighbors is the second greatest commandment -- second only to loving God with our whole heart, soul and mind. But what does it mean to really love our neighbors? What would our workplaces, neighborhoods and families look like if we truly loved everyone -- including those from different backgrounds, cultures, races or belief systems? Can love overcome fear, apathy and prejudice?
