The Smart Stepfamily - Begins in January 2020
Sun., Jan. 19-March 22, 2020 | 8:45-10 am in the Summit
Learn practical, realistic solutions to the issues you face as a stepfamily. Designed for both married and soon-to-be-married couples, the class will help troubleshoot common problems such as: dynamics within stepparent and stepchildren relationships, effective communication with an ex-spouse, handling stepfamily finances confidently, and having patience rather than expecting an instant blend. Led by experienced couples living the stepfamily journey, the class consists of teaching and small group discussion. $25/couple.

Character Development class is a discipleship tool that reveals God’s power, love and redemption through the stories of our lives. Examine your life experiences and the ways in which you relate to others through a biblical lens, with the purpose of becoming more mature in Christ. A catalyst for spiritual and relational growth, Character Development has a newly revised curriculum for 2019. In a small group setting, you will discuss the reading and engage deeply with other people and their stories. *Prerequisite for Lay Counseling Class and some other volunteer leadership positions. $25 class materials fee. Marriage Development - Begins in January 2020
Sundays, January 19 – May 3, 2020 | 10:45 am – 12:00 pm (15 consecutive weeks/no class on Easter)
Build deeper intimacy in your marriage through in-depth teaching about topics like family backgrounds, relational dynamics, sex, and the expectations each spouse brings into marriage. The class is a combination of teaching time and small group discussion. This class can transform, strengthen, and breathe new life into your marriage relationship. If you are a discerning listener with the compassion and patience to walk those who are hurting through the healing process, please consider signing up for our Lay Counseling Class. Becoming a CTR Lay Counselor requires attendance at three intensive weekend classes in 2020 (Jan. 16-18 – Apr. 16-18 – Sept. 10-12), 24 hours of practice with student partner, 10 sessions participating in a Journey group and 9 hours of individual observation. $50 class materials fee.
