Premarital Class & Mentoring | March 2025 Two-Day Intensive Class

Two Saturdays (attend both days), 9:00 am – 3 pm (for couples without children from a prior relationship) 

Build a marriage centered on Christ that will last a lifetime. The class will help you be proactive and wise about common issues in marriage, such as communication, finances, sex, expectations based on your families of origin, handling conflict in healthier ways, and more. Mentoring with an experienced couple follows the 2-day class. Cost: $75 per couple. Registration deadline: March 3

Class participants should pack a lunch on each Saturday; water and snacks will be provided!

The Smart Stepfamily | 2-day Intensive Class

Learn practical, realistic solutions to the issues you face as a stepfamily. This class will help couples troubleshoot common problems such as: dynamics within stepparent and stepchildren relationships, effective communication with an ex-spouse, handling stepfamily finances confidently, and having patience rather than expecting an instant blend. Led by experienced couples living the stepfamily journey, the class consists of teaching and small group discussion. This class takes place from 6-9:30 pm on Friday, and 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on Saturday. Cost: $40/couple. Registration deadline: March 3

Water and snacks provided. Bring a sack lunch on Saturday.

The Smart Stepfamily/Premarital Class:

Character Development: Spring 2025 – Registration for Spring 2025 is closed

Character Development class is a discipleship tool that reveals God’s power, love and redemption through the stories of our lives. Examine your life experiences and the ways in which you relate to others through a biblical lens, with the purpose of becoming more mature in Christ. A catalyst for spiritual and relational growth, Character Development meets in a small group setting where you will discuss the reading and engage with other group members and their stories. *Prerequisite for Lay Counseling Class and some other volunteer leadership positions. $25 class materials fee.  Email jhidden@christtherock.org for more information.

If you are a discerning listener with the compassion and patience to walk those who are hurting through the healing process, please consider applying for our Lay Counseling Class. Becoming a CTR Lay Counselor requires attendance at three intensive weekend classes in January, April and September (Thurs night, Friday night and Saturday morning), 24 hours of practice with a student partner, 24 sessions participating in a Journey group, and 10 hours of individual observation. $25 class materials fee. 2025 Class Dates: Jan 16-18, April 10-12, and Sept 18-20. Marriage Development | Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm; Sept 19 – Dec 12 (no class Oct 31 & Nov 28)

Build deeper intimacy in your marriage through in-depth teaching and small group discussion on topics like family backgrounds, relational dynamics, money, sex, and the expectations each spouse brings to marriage. Through a combination of teaching time and small group discussion, this class can help transform, strengthen, and breathe new life into your marriage relationship. Sundays: February 16 – March 9, 2025 | 8:45-10:30 am

Partnership is a different way of thinking about what it means to be invested in a local church. Be part of our next Partnership Class, and join others in walking through the core beliefs of Christianity, and how we live them out together as a church. The first part of this 4-week class takes a deep dive into Christ The Rock’s Statement of Faith, while the second half explains how Christ The Rock lives out the mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ locally and globally.
