Starting Point: A Conversation About Faith
- Beginning Jan. 18 | Tuesdays, 6:30-8 pm (9 weeks) at Pastor Kris’ house (class participants will receive the address after registering)
If you have questions about God, faith, or what it means to follow Jesus, Starting Point is a safe place to ask and pursue answers. In a conversational format over nine nights, you’ll have time to discuss common questions about God, the Bible and more — and ask your own questions.

• Mornings | Sundays, 10 am – 12:00 pm; Feb. 6 – May 1 (no class on Easter)
Character Development class is a discipleship tool that reveals God’s power, love and redemption through the stories of our lives. Examine your life experiences and the ways in which you relate to others through a biblical lens, with the purpose of becoming more mature in Christ. A catalyst for spiritual and relational growth, Character Development meets in a small group setting where you will discuss the reading and engage with other group members and their stories. *Prerequisite for Lay Counseling Class and some other volunteer leadership positions. $25 class materials fee. Lay Counseling Class - Deadline Oct. 1, 2021 | Begins Jan., 2022
If you are a discerning listener with the compassion and patience to walk those who are hurting through the healing process, please consider signing up for our Lay Counseling Class. Becoming a CTR Lay Counselor requires attendance at three intensive weekend classes in 2022 (Jan. 13 – 15, May 5 – 7, Sept. 15 – 17), 24 hours of practice with student partner, 10 sessions participating in a Journey group and 9 hours of individual observation. $50 class materials fee. Financial Peace University | Mon., Sept. 13 – Nov. 8 | 6:00 pm
FPU will help you use biblical wisdom to find freedom from debt, plan for emergencies, spend wisely, and cultivate a generous heart. Cost varies; when you register, participants can choose between 3 options of $59-129 (based on how many months of membership with FPU you desire (ongoing support/videos/etc.). The Smart Stepfamily | Sundays, Jan 16 – Feb 27 (no class 2/13) 6:00 – 8:30 pm – This class is FULL.
Learn practical, realistic solutions to the issues you face as a stepfamily. Designed for both married and soon-to-be-married couples, the class will help troubleshoot common problems such as: dynamics within stepparent and stepchildren relationships, effective communication with an ex-spouse, handling stepfamily finances confidently, and having patience rather than expecting an instant blend. Led by experienced couples living the stepfamily journey, the class consists of teaching and small group discussion. 6-week class; $25/couple.
Marriage Development | This class is FULL.
Marriage Development | Sundays, Jan 16, 23 & 30; Feb 13; Mar 6, 13 & 27; Apr 3, 10 & 24 | 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Build deeper intimacy in your marriage through in-depth teaching and small group discussion on topics like family backgrounds, relational dynamics, money, sex, and the expectations each spouse brings to marriage. This 10-week class is a combination of teaching time and small group discussion. This class can help transform, strengthen, and breathe new life into your marriage relationship. Premarital Class & Mentoring | March 18 & 19, 2022

Build a marriage centered on Christ that will last a lifetime. The class will help you be proactive and wise about common issues in marriage, such as communication, finances, sex, expectations based on your families of origin, handling conflict in healthier ways, and more. Mentoring with an experienced couple is offered to every premarital couple following the 2-day class. Cost: $70 per couple.
