Building Custodial

Landscaping

Lawn Care – Riding Lawnmower
Use a riding lawn mower to cut grass in larger open areas. Serve one week per month during the season. Contact: Monica at mbetters@christtherock.org or ext. 351 

Lawn Care – Trimming
Use a push mower and trimmer to cut grass in harder places to get at with the rider.  Serve one week per month during the season. Contact: Monica at mbetters@christtherock.org or ext. 351 

Snow Team – Shoveling
Help keep our building accessible during the winter by shoveling sidewalks near entrances. Teams are on call to serve one week per month.  Contact: Monica at mbetters@christtherock.org or ext. 351

Window Cleaning

Worship Center Chair Team

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Breakout Small Group Leader
Teach and lead a small group of children in activities and discussion that help them understand who God is and how much He loves them. Curriculum and supplies are provided. Commitment is Wednesday nights 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Oct. through April. Contact: Jen at jreetz@christtherock.org or ext. 311

CTR Kids – Infants and Toddlers
Provide a safe and loving environment for infants and toddlers while their parent attend services. This role provides the first look that children have about God and how much He cares for them. CTR Kids – Preschool
Serve preschool children by teaching or leading a small group of children in activities and discussion that help them understand who God is and how much he loves them.  Curriculum and supplies are provided.  Serve weekly or every other week during the school year or summer. CTR Kids – Elementary Room and Club 5/6
Serve elementary children by teaching or leading a small group of children in activities and discussion that help them understand who God is and how much He loves them. CTR Kid – Care Team

CTR Kids – Greeter
Welcome families to Children’s Ministry, check for sign-in stickers at the entrance doors. Volunteer weekly, every other week or once a month from 8:00 to 9:00 am or 10:00 to 11:00 am and after service for 15 minutes (only serve at one service). CTR Kids – Courtesy Desk Check-In Assistant

Ignite Group Leader

GUEST SERVICES

Fireside Café – Sunday Barista
Be a part of a team environment centered on our mission of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all who come to the café. Volunteers prepare and serve espresso and other drinks, as well as food.  All training is provided. Serve one 4-hour shift per week. Contact: Kathy at kscherer@christtherock.org 

Fireside Café – Weekday Barista
Greet guests who come to Fireside Café, create and serve espresso beverages, and prepare and serve food. Help create a warm, welcoming environment to help community members feel loved during the weekday Café hours. Serve one shift per week of 2-4 hours. Contact: Kathy at kscherer@christtherock.org 

Funeral Kitchen Help
A great behind the scenes opportunity to serve and love on those who are hurting and grieving. We are looking for kitchen help when food is served at funerals. Usually, a 3-5 days’ notice can be given. Contact: Megan at  mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332.

Guest Services – Link Connector
Do you like to meet new people? Connect with new guests on Sundays to develop a personal relationship for the purpose of helping them connect at Christ The Rock, and start them on their discipleship journey. Guest Services – Greeter

Guest Services – House Coffee
Make and serve coffee at the House Coffee table; Function as a greeter to those who visit the table to make sure they have a great first connection that morning. Serve one Sunday per month for 4.5  hours. Contact:  Melissa at bdspa33@gmail.com

Online Pastoral Care
Help create a feeling of community with our online church services by making people feel seen and known by responding with a “hi” or initiating a brief conversation. Comment occasionally on the worship music or sermon. Care for people who mention a personal problem by chatting with them and offering to pray for them that week. Training provided. OFFICE AND TECHNICAL

Audio Mix
Provide the audio mix for weekend services using a sound mixing console. Attend to all microphone issues in the service. Must have an ear for sound. Serve once a  month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Camera Operator
If you are creative, help us capture and convey moments in the service to our online and local audience. Photography experience is welcome but not required. Training is provided. Flexible scheduling; serve once a month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Computer Graphics Operator
We are seeking technology-inclined individuals to help show our lyrics and media on the side screens and livestream on Sunday mornings. All training is provided. Flexible scheduling; Serve once a month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Lighting Operator
Run the lighting console and maintain the environment. Serve once a month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Lighting Programmer
Help create the visual environment(s) for Sunday services with the option to be the lighting operator the same week. Some creativity required. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Livestream Operator
If you enjoy technical work and are comfortable with YouTube and Facebook and other computer programs, you can help run our livestream to reach hundreds of people each week with the Gospel. Serve 1 or 2 Sundays per month. Contact: Ann at ameyers@christtherock.org or ext. 333 

Sunday Volunteer Support
Oversee snacks/food for tech, worship team and pastor, run planning center live/time tracker; and record attendance. Serve once a month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332 

Video Director
Mix camera shots for the video screens, plan camera angles and direct camera operators. Some creativity required. Training provided. Serve once a month during both services. Contact: Megan at mekholm@christtherock.org or ext. 332

Weekday Office Support

Christmas Eve Services 2024 – Volunteer Needs

STUDENT MINISTRIES

(Amped-Middle School and NarrowPath-High School)

Wednesday Nights
Help impact our middle school and high school youth for Christ by leading a small group or Bible study group, assisting with teaching lessons, helping serve and care for our youth. Serve Wednesday evenings for 3 hours during the school year. Contact: Sara at eklein@christtherock.org

SUPPORT AND CARE

Discipleship Group Leader
Discipleship Groups are the essential backbone to the disciple-making culture at CTR. In Discipleship Groups we are challenged to intentionally grow as followers of Jesus who are changed by Him and committed to His mission. Discipleship Groups can be held in homes, on campus, or another offsite location. Training is provided. Discipleship Leader Training Program is a prerequisite to leading a group. Lay Counselor
At CTR we offer both individual and group Christian counseling services. Pastors and lay counselors receive in-depth training, but are not professional counselors with degrees. Character Development Class is a pre-requisite to applying for the Lay Counseling program. Complete a lay counseling application below. Application deadlines vary each year. Marriage Development Small Group Leader
​Guide a small group of married couples through the Marriage Development class. Lead discussions, share stories and insights from your own marriage; offer guidance and prayer. Class meets 10 times. Premarital Mentor
Do you have a heart to see marriages thrive? Meet (4-5 times) with engaged couples who have completed our premarital class to mentor them and offer support. Training is provided. Prerequisite: Character Development class. Contact: Jerilyn at jhidden@christtherock.org or ext. 368 

Smart Stepfamily Small Group Leader/Mentor
​Help couples learn to navigate the unique challenges stepfamilies face by guiding a small group of couples through the Smart Stepfamily class. Class meets 6 times. Pre-requisite: Character Development Class and Smart Stepfamily Class. Contact: Jerilyn at jhidden@christtherock.org or ext. 368
