Thank you for your interest in serving! We value the unique way each person is made, and we would love to connect you with ways to use your gifts to serve God and others. When we serve, it changes us: by imitating Jesus’ sacrificial love, we become more like Him. Everyone has something to contribute to the Kingdom of God — if you’re not sure where your best fit is for volunteering, complete our Skills and Abilities form.

Immediate Opportunities to Love & Serve

We need your help! Our ministries continue to operate with minimal volunteers. Some ministries are temporarily closed but we are still in the process of building the teams as we await the reopening of Sunday Services and Children/Student Ministries. Take a look at some of the opportunities available – we hope you’ll jump in as a volunteer! If you are interested in any of these volunteer opportunities, contact Ann Meyers to meet these immediate needs:

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Welcome children on Sunday mornings, show them God’s love, and help disciple them to know and follow Jesus! We are up and running, and we would love to equip you to serve in this fun, encouraging atmosphere.

STUDENT MINISTRY
If you’re a passionate, invested, spiritually mature person, we would love to equip you to disciple a small group of middle or high school students to know, love and grow in Christ. Be part of CTR’s Student’ Ministries team and make an impact during students’ formative years.

BREAKOUT VOLUNTEERS
BreakOut is our discipleship group for kids in grades 3-5 and at these ages, kids are open to Christ and the influence of adults who love Him. Serve every Wednesday evening from October to April.  If you enjoy a fun, energetic environment, this could be the perfect way to serve.

WEEKEND SERVICE GREETERS
Be the first welcoming face people see at CTR on Sunday mornings! Greet guests and attenders, and help new people feel seen and known, and help with communion, and answer questions about CTR and connecting here.  Serve one Sunday per month from 8 am-12:15 pm.

LIVESTREAM
If you enjoy technical work and are comfortable with YouTube and Facebook and other computer programs, you can help run our livestream to reach hundreds of people each week with the Gospel. Serve 1 or 2 Sundays per month.

CAMERA OPERATORS
If you are creative, help us capture and convey moments in the service to our online and local audience. Photography experience is welcome but not required. Training is provided. Flexible scheduling — serve one or more Sundays per month.

COMPUTER GRAPHICS OPERATOR
We are seeking technology-inclined individuals to help show our lyrics and media on the side screens and livestream on Sunday mornings. All training is provided. Flexible scheduling; serve one or more Sundays per month.

LIGHTING OPERATOR AND/OR PROGRAMMER
Be part of creating a reverent atmosphere for worship through lighting/color design. Help run and program lighting for Sunday services. Operators serve one or more Sunday mornings per month; training is provided. Programming happens during the week, to be completed by 7 pm Thursdays.

VIDEO DIRECTOR
Mix camera shots for the video screens; plan camera angles and direct camera operators. Training provided. Serve once a month during both services.

Ready To Serve?

It takes many hands to make Sundays happen and support ministries that happen throughout the week! Whether you’re interested in volunteering with kids, being part of Sunday mornings, helping maintain our grounds, or serving in an office role, we hope you’ll catch God’s vision for this local church and start serving.

We also serve our community in a variety of ways: through our Food Pantry and free community Thanksgiving Meal, through lay counseling, support groups and recovery programs, and by providing an affordable, family-friendly gathering place at the Fireside Café.
