Have you ever stopped to think about the strangeness of the Christmas story? It’s a beautiful story that seems more in common with a fairytale than an actual historical event. And yet the Bible attests that the events of Jesus birth are true. Have you ever wondered why God sent his son to be born in a barnyard to poor teenage parents? Or why Jesus was both fully human and fully divine? Or how a little baby could one day save us from our sins? This sermon invites you to think critically about the story of Jesus birth, but also dares you to believe it’s true with childlike faith.
