Romans 12:18 (NIV) says, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Reconciliation is close to the heart of God. Do you have unresolved conflict in your life? Have you hurt someone and know you need to make things right? Do you sense God is calling you to seek reconciliation? The Bible provides a roadmap for reconciliation. As we continue in our series The Good, Bad and Ugly in Genesis we will look at what we can learn from Jacob as he pursues reconciliation with Esau.
You might assume that God only works through cleaned-up people who have it all together. But God chose to work through the good, bad and ugly of this messy, broken family to bring forward His plan of delivering a Savior for His people and the entire world.
