The Power of Story

We live in evil times. The Apostle Paul offers clear and compelling counsel on how to live wisely in a world gone mad. He tells us to sing. Music, especially the Psalms, are stories set to song. When we make music in our world, we are inviting people to the stories of heartache, conflict and redemption. Our stories are what we are to sing to God and to this world. Don’t have a good voice? Don’t play an instrument? You are in good company. Singing our stories before the world is no less than making our stories available for God to sing over us and about us to tell the story of His Son, Jesus. Make music in your heart to God.
