We begin our Miracle Worker series, in which we will look at the Gospel of John to study seven miracles Jesus performs. We will see how these miracles show the power of Jesus, the compassion of Jesus, and will challenge the assumptions of the people Jesus encounters. But we will also see how each miracle gives us imagination, hope and vision for the Age to Come—a time where miracles will seem ordinary. This week, we begin our series by looking at the very first public miracle Jesus ever performed, and what it tells us about His power to transform the things we think can never be changed.
