For every single person, life is full of struggles. Struggles usually come out of nowhere, and when we are struggling in life, we often assume God is far away from us. As we continue our series The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, we study a chapter in Jacob’s life where he meets God in the midst of a struggle. We will see how this struggle becomes the single most defining moment in Jacob’s life, and how the lessons he learns apply to our lives too. Each of us can find purpose, identity, humility, blessing and God Himself in the place of the struggle.
You might assume that God only works through cleaned-up people who have it all together. But God chose to work through the good, bad and ugly of this messy, broken family to bring forward His plan of delivering a Savior for His people and the entire world.
