Sometimes we find ourselves at crossroads in life, and don’t know which direction to go. We may find ourselves in an unexpected battle, and don’t know if we’re going to make it. Or, we find ourselves wondering if we will have enough money to make it through the next season of life, at the same time, we find ourselves feeling the need to desperately hold on to everything we have, grasping for provision wherever we can get it. In this week of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, we will see Abraham face all three of these situations, and we will see how his determination to trust God carries him through each one of these trials and temptations. We will also see how we can apply this type of faith to our own lives, and deepen our own trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
You might assume that God only works through cleaned-up people who have it all together. But God chose to work through the good, bad and ugly of this messy, broken family to bring forward His plan of delivering a Savior for His people and the entire world.
